Born in Bochum and raised in Bavaria Christian Flisek studied Law and Business administration at the University of Passau. In 2003 he founded his own law firm and specified for industrial legal protection: brand-, patent-, competition- and intellectual copyright law.
In 2013 he became a Member of the German Bundestag for the Social Democratic Party of Germany. Besides his membership in various committees (Law and Consumer Protection, Digital Agenda, Under committee for European Law, Deputy Member Economy and Energy) he is Speaker in the 1st Committee of Inquiry/18th EP investigating the proceedings concerning the NSA affair. Moreover he serves as Representative for Start-Up Companies.
He is married and has two children.
